Call to order
Jennifer Feddersen, President, called the meeting to order at 9:15 AM
Welcome and Introductions
Presenter:Dean Beall, The Strategy House – Medical Staff Planning Gone Wrong, Common Mistakesand How to Avoid them.
Presenter:Mary Creed, Michigan Health Council – Michigan Physician and Liaison Survey Results
Treasurer’s report:
MRRN’s November2014 budget ending balance is $44,057.63
Trista Fite, Treasurer, is speaking with 5/3 Bank on how we can start earning interest, possible CD’s. What amount of cash should we invest.She is also working with 5/3 Bank on setting up an online payment site for dues, conference fees and exhibitor fees.
2015 MRRN Conference Update:
Teressa Hopkins, Vice President – 2015 Conference is presently $10,000 under cost. For the Monday evening event, we will be participating on a Murder Mystery. A troop has been hired as the actors.
The conference dates are August 16, 17 and 18, 2015. It will be in Grand Rapids, MI, Holiday Inn in Eberhard Center.
Theme of the conference is “Strolling Along the River.” Speakers have been confirmed.
Teressa Hopkins is working on having a Job Fair for Tuesday evening.
Michele Phillips, VP – Elect, is working with the exhibitors. The registration fee will be the same as last year, $900. So far we have four sponsors for the conference. All information went out to all exhibitors on November 13.
Membership Discussion:
Jennifer Feddersen, President, asked for volunteers for two new MRRN Executive Council positions: VP - Elect and Secretary. Please contact Jennifer if interested. E-mail:
Mary Creed and Michele Phillips have volunteered on updating the website. Mary has uploaded pictures from last conference, Executive Membership, Save the Date and meetings. Michele has created a Facebook page but not uploaded yet. She will release by next week and e-mail blast membership to Like the FB page.
Increasing the MRRN membership - Susan Sanford and Barb Hilborn have been working on increasing the membership. Spectrum will be attending as guests, weather permitting.
