It was created as a spin off from Lucent in 2000 and acquired Nortel’s Enterprise communications business in 2010.It was a private equity owned company from 2007 to 2018 and is now NYSE publicly quoted.

Treasury Director

Responsible forglobal cash management and cash forecasting, debt compliance and FX and US pension back office .The role reports to the Corporate Treasurer of Avaya Inc. in US headquarters.

  • Manage globalbanking relationships for all treasury operations
  • Global cash management across 70 countries including investment management, liquidity structures and cross entity notional and physicalpooling, subsidiary liquidity management andcredit facility utilization and management.
  • Group cash forecasting and working capital management in conjunction with collections/AP and FP&A.

All indirect international sales go through the Irish Avaya entity. The Irish company is also a hub for certain accounting functions. Revenue is approx. $1000m per annum.

I was the first controller of the Irish entity and set up many of its centralised operations and finance model
