  • In charge of all daily operations in the manufacturing, sale and shipping of various expansion joint material for the construction industry.
  • Supervised a crew of 6 people and handled all aspects of day to day operations including production, purchasing, scheduling, shipping and receiving, accounts payables and accounts receivable.

  • Plant Manager-In charge of all aspects in the manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance, and production planning of foam, sheet metal, cork, rubber and stamped/formed construction appliances related to and manufactured for the residential and commercial construction industry.

  • Set up (in our branch) and have been operating computerized inventory system to achieve appropriate stocking levels of raw material and inventory.
  • Streamlined manufacturing methods to achieve optimum productivity on all production machines. By doing this throughout the plant, we’ve been able to achieve 30% higher productivity using 25% less employees.
  • Train (including monthly lectures) all personnel in the proper operation of production machines including mig and tig welders, 3 various sized sheet metal press brakes, lathe, milling machines, punch presses and die setups, neoprene slitters, horizontal and vertical table band saws roll formers and associated metal working and foam slitting tools including 2 separate coating lines that manufacture over 15 million sq ft of finished product annually.
  • Instituted calibration program for all measuring gear. Implemented quality assurance program and all “in process” procedures for all jobs.
  • Instituted production reports and quality assurance reports for our branch to the main office.
  • Supervise production crew of up to 35 people including all aspects of human resources including hiring, firing, training, yearly evaluations and daily
job assignments.
  • Supervise entire shipping department in full truck load, less then truckload, and ground(UPS and FED-EX) shipments for our facility and within our own braches to achieve timely and cost effective deliveries.
  • Maintain supply chain raw materials for products that are manufactured in house by utilizing lean manufacturing principles through out the facility.
  • Work closely with research and development to effectively implement 8 different,new product lines for the construction industry including machine design,testing, and actual production in house.
  • Supervise and implemented in house maintenance program to assure proper documentation of repaired items and to keep machines running for the shift.
  • Responsible for filing all applicable D.E.P. reports bi-annually
  • Responsible for handling all workman’s comp claims; from initial safety/accident reports to the filing of all documents pertaining to workman’s comp.
