Personal Profile
I am a highly motivated person who works very hard to achieve personal goals.
To follow my passion for arts and to pursue my career in this challenging field I came to London in 2004. My personal attributes, including honesty, dynamism, diligence, sociability and trustworthiness make me a reliable conscientious team member.
Key Achievements
- Mar – Present 2008 Free Lancer − Instructor & Translator
Recently completed some important curatorial essays for Gwangju Biennale and have been teaching Korean to British students.
- Jun – August 2007 Gallery Yujiro − Gallery Assistant
Preparing exhibition space for next exhibition. Installing art works. Personal advertising work
on behalf of the galley. Liaising with potential clients. Compiling and maintaining client and
artistdata base. Answering phone calls and responding to e-mails.
- Mar – May 2007 Gallery K − Gallery Assistant
I have gained a thorough understanding of all aspects of a small contemporary gallery. My duties involved researching publications, compiling catalogue information, installing art works and meeting clients.
- Sept-Oct 2006 Arts & Business − Researcher
Working for Arts & Business as a research intern provided me with a useful insight into how a Charitable Art Organisation functions. I gained practical knowledge of how businesses and art organisations are linked together and can help each other.
- 2001 - 2004 Jung Chul Language Institute − Instructor
Being one of the top English Instructors at Jung Chul Language Institute, the second largest and one of the most prestigious institutes in Korea gave me a sense of achievement. Meeting with new recruits, from college students to business people, strengthened my interpersonal and communication skills as well as my presentation techniques.
