MHASD Building Goals - 2015-2016

Academic

Early Learning Center/Primary Center: By the end of the 2015-2016 school year, 90% of K-2 students will show adequate growth in Reading as evidenced by 2or more district assessment measures.

Intermediate Center: By the end of the 2015-2016 academic school year, 70% of the Intermediate Center students will meet their Spring reading student growth projection on at least one of two of the district assessment measures.

Middle School: During the 2015-2016 school year, 80% (or 2% more than the fall data) of Mt. Horeb Middle School students will be in the high or average category of the informational text MAP score by the spring MAP assessment.

High School:By the end of the 2015-16 school year, the percentage of students who are on track for college and career readiness in reading will increase by 5% based on the ACT family of assessments and data collected in 2014-15.

Technology

Early Learning Center/Primary Center: By the end of the 2015-2016 school year, 85% of K-2 students will demonstrate mastery of 4 out of 5 technology skills.

Intermediate Center: By the end of the 2015-2016 academic school year, 85% of Intermediate Center students will demonstrate independent and group use of Google Docs as measured by completion of Schoology course module.

Middle School: During the 2015-2016 school year, 80% of middle school students will be independent in their use of 2 technological applications (skills or programs, with an emphasis in Google) picked by each grade level team.

High School: By May of the 2015-16 school year, at least 50% of staff will report a decrease of off-task personal technology usage by students as compared to an October survey.

Safety

Early Learning Center/Primary Center: We will improve the physical, emotional and social safety of our Primary Center students as measured by a 20% decrease in minor and major behavioral incidences (125 less) during the 2015-2016 school year.

Intermediate Center: By the end of the 2015-2016 academic school year, Intermediate Center student participation in mindfulness activities will decrease office behavior referrals by 10%.

Middle School: During the 2015-2016 school year, the number of middle school students reporting they often or always feel nervous, anxious, or on-edge at school will decrease by 10% from the fall to the spring as measured by student surveys.

High School: By the end of the 2015-16 school year, at least 90% of surveyed students will report that they agree or strongly agree with the statement, “I have one adult at school that I can talk to if I have a problem.”
