Introduction of Tracy Lavalle / Introduction of everyone present and new members
From MHA, talked about Version 3.0 for the Grouper.
Submissions in ICD 10 to start in Oct 2014. 3M expects output to be the same. (She didn’t agree)
MHA looking for volunteers to code sample cases in ICD 9 and 10. Grouper logic in ICD 10 won’t change until there is 1 year of data. / None
What local facilities are doing for ICD-10 training
Reorganization / Carroll County Hospital – Focusing on dual coding for top 25 DRGs and some random dx. Especially knee and hip repl. CDSs and Coders meet monthly. They are also targeting med/surg docs to be champions for community docs.
Maryland General – Denise Otto reported that training is online 3M and AHIMA.

Christine was hopeful of stepping down as Chair this past December. To be an ACDIS chapter, we need a chair and 2 co-chairs. Olga Firstbrook and Marie Wickham volunteered. Olga will handle contacts and organizational details. Marie will assume the Treasurer responsibilities. Andrea Norris will take the minutes.
Trish Dasch will also assist with leadership of the CDS group as well.
Dues – needed to cover presenters and consultants. Should the charge be per person or per hospital? 25/person, 100/hospital? Collection of dues to start next meeting – need to determine who to make check out to.
Time – need to consider other hours to meet. / None / All Members
