Inspirational Bible Verses

(New International Version)

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Psalm 34:8

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.

Psalm 27:4

One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

Isaiah 40:28-31

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Romans 8:28

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Seventh-day Adventists Believe…

1. We believe there is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three coeternal Persons.

2. We accept the death of Jesus Christ on Calvary as the atoning sacrifice for our sins and believe that by God’s grace through faith in His shed blood we are saved from sin and its penalty.

3. We accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Savior and believe that God, in Christ, has forgiven our sins and given me a new heart, and we renounce the sinful ways of the world.

4. We accept by faith the righteousness of Christ, our Intercessor in the heavenly sanctuary, and accept His promise of transforming grace and power to live a loving, Christ-centered life in our home and before the world.

5. We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word, the only rule of faith and practice for the Christian. We covenant to spend time regularly in prayer and Bible study.

6. We accept the Ten Commandments as a transcript of the character of God and a revelation of His will. It is our purpose by the power of the indwelling Christ to keep this law, including the fourth commandment, which requires the observance of the seventh day of the week as the Sabbath of the Lord and the memorial of Creation.

7. We look forward to the soon coming of Jesus and the blessed hope, when “this mortal shall . . . put on immortality” [1 Cor. 15:54, KJV]. As we prepare to meet the Lord, we will witness to His loving salvation by using our talents in personal soul-winning endeavor to help others to be ready for His glorious appearing.

8. We accept the biblical teaching of spiritual gifts and believe that the gift of prophecy is one of the identifying marks of the remnant church.

9. We believe in Church organization. It is our purpose to worship God and to support the Church through our tithes and offerings and by our personal effort and influence.

10. We believe that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; and we will honor God by caring for it, avoiding the use of that which is harmful, and abstaining from all unclean foods; from the use, manufacture, or sale of alcoholic beverages; from the use, manufacture, or sale of tobacco in any of its forms for human consumption; and from the misuse of or trafficking in narcotics or other drugs.

11. We know and understand the fundamental Bible principles as taught by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We purpose, by the grace of God, to fulfill His will by ordering our life in harmony with these principles.

12. We accept the New Testament teaching of baptism by immersion and desire to be so baptized as a public expression of faith in Christ and His forgiveness of our sins.

13. We accept and believe that the Seventh-day Adventist Church is the remnant church of Bible prophecy and that people of every nation, race, and language are invited and accepted into its fellowship. We desire to be members of local congregations of the world Church.
