PLEASE NOTE:
- For this meeting there will be a vote as 2 new board members are to be elected
- In accordance with NSW Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 & Aboriginal Land Rights Regulation 2002 a person is entitled to vote in the election for Board members if the person:
(a)Is a voting member of the MLALC and,
(b)Has attended at least 2 MLALC meetings in the previous 12 months (not including the 2014 Members meeting or scheduled meetings where a quorum of members has not been reached).

REMINDER:
Eligibility to vote for board elections of a Local Aboriginal Land Council
Dear Metropolitan LALC members,
The Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council (“MLALC”) Members Extraordinary Meeting is scheduled to be held on the 27thJuly 2014 and will include the election for 2 Board Members of the MLALC.
PLEASE NOTE: In relation to the election for Board members:
A person is entitled to vote in the election for Board members if the person:
- is a voting member of the MLALC, and
- has attended at least 2 MLALC meetings in the previous 12 months (not including the 2013 AGM or scheduled meetings where a quorum of members has not been reached).
Please be advised that attendance at members meetings will only be confirmed by the signed attendance sheets of members meetings; if based on the signed attendance sheets you have not attended at least 2 members meetings in previous 12months prior to the meeting, you will not be eligible to vote.
No exceptions will be given on the night of the Meeting.
Important message to Metro LALC members:
NSWALC has received further clarification from the Registrar in regards to the Metro LALC meeting held on the 25thJune 2014. The meeting DOES count in regards to the 2 meeting rule due to the meeting opening WITH a quorum.
Those members who attended the last meeting will have this counted in the two meeting rule and may be eligible to vote, nominate and be nominated.
