Methodology for investigation of individual crimes

Objectives. Through lectures and practical demonstrations, students will be familiar with how to use the criminalistics science to detect selected specific crime. This activity is of course in accordance with the law, specifically criminal procedure and criminal law.
Teaching this course have to meet these two basic criteria:
1) Apply to the practical operation of the police findings from the study of criminalistics techniques and tactics.
2) Learn the methodological investigation of various types of criminal offences.
Prospective skills. Graduates of the course should be able to use the latest knowledge of criminalistics theory and practice, to conduct methodical investigation team for the investigation of selected criminal offences. They should prove to apply theoretical knowledge in practical police work.
Summary. Methodology of the investigation is part of criminalistics science, which reveals and explores the laws of origin and emergence of traces and specific features of the procedures for searching, ensuring and exploitation of traces, use of other forensic evidence and criminalistics significant relevant information with regard to a specific type of offense and the expected type of inquiry situation. The course will deal with general theory, structure and methodology for investigating the specific procedures. Main attention is focused on the introduction to the methodology, the methodology of investigations of thefts of motor vehicles, the methodology of investigation of criminality of foreigners, the methodology of investigations of insurance frauds, murder investigation methodology, the methodology of investigations of sexual crimes, accidents investigation methodology, methodology for the investigation of criminal offenses against the currency and methodology for investigating organized crime. Each type of models, methodologies investigating various types of crimes, is an organized system of knowledge and recommendations with a fixed structure. Structure of Methodology for investigating of individual types of crime is possible to define by the specific components. In the subject will be discussed typical track, the type characteristic of the offense, subject to investigation, the initial operations at the venue and the possibility of use of expert examination in the elucidation of the offense. Will be analyzed the different tactical methods and their use.

Topic 1. Introduction and structure of the different methodologies
To acquaint students with the structure of the different methodologies, which is repeated in all cases.
Topic 2. Methodology of murder investigation
To acquaint students with procedures for investigating the most serious crimes - murder.
Topic 3. Methodology of robberies investigation
To show the robbery segmentation and possible application of "legitimate private defence“.

Topic 4. Methodology of theft investigation
To educate the police officers to investigate basic crimes - theft and burglary, which affect every day dozens of people.
Topic 5. Methodology of fraud investigations
Focus on the specifics of the investigation of this type of crime in particular the fact that the victim meets with the offender under favourable circumstances.
Topic 6. Methodology of organized crime investigation
Combating organized crime is currently one of the main objectives of the police. The social dangerousness is high.
Topic 7. Methodology of sexual crimes investigation
Investigation of this criminal activity depends on the fact that uncaught offender usually continues in committing of the crime.
Topic 8. Methodology of the economic crime investigation
It introduces the wide range of investigating crimes, which enters into the economic crime area
Topic 9. Methodology of traffic accidents investigation
Investigation of traffic accidents is a classic methodology on which it is possible to accurately demonstrate the system and sense of a methodology as a whole
Topic 10. Methodology of drug-related crime investigation
Investigation of one of the most frequent and serious criminal activity that goes beyond the framework of national borders.
Topic 11. Methodology of Juvenile Delinquencyinvestigation
Youth crime is increasing, and finding new forms of struggle with such negative phenomena is the subject of this methodology

This methodology deals with phenomena which seriously threaten the personal and state property. Their social dangerousness is primarily in huge damages..
