1. Presentation of an “M” Award to Arcola Intermediate School Science Fair

Team of 2010, sponsored by Cathy Stewart, for earning 2nd place in the Montgomery County Science Research Competition.

2. Presentation of an “M” Award to Methacton High School’s Carlton Lavong,

for winning a gold medal in the triple jump and long jump at the PIAA

Track and Field Championships.

1. Methacton High School’s Carlton Lavong earned gold medals in both the

triple jump and the long jump in the PIAA Track and Field Championships.

In addition to receiving two gold medals, his outstanding performance set

a new state meet record.

2. The following 2010 graduating seniors have earned a 93% or higher cumulative

GPA over their four years of high school. “M” Awards for this honor will be

presented during Commencement Ceremonies on June 16, 2010:

2. FINAL BUDGET ADOPTION

Approve the adoption of the General Fund Budget of Methacton School District

for the 2010-2011 fiscal year in the amount of $91,189,934.

3. TAXES FOR THE 2010-2011 FISCAL YEAR

Approve the following taxes for the 2010-2011 fiscal year:

a. Per Capita Tax of $10.00 under the provision of Act 511

b. Per Capita Tax of $10.00 under the provision of Act 569

c. Emergency and Municipal Services (EMS)Tax /Occupational Privilege Tax

under the provision of Act 511

d. Real Estate Transfer Tax of one percent (1%) under the provision of Act 511

e. Earned Income Tax of one percent (1%) under the provision of Act 511

Approve Resolution #10-05 for the 2010 homestead and farmstead exclusion

a. Approve the employment of Lee Ann Apichella, grade seven English

instructor at Arcola Intermediate School. Salary: $42,724 based on

Bachelors, Step 2.5. Effective: August 31, 2010. This is a replacement

position.

b. Approve the employment of Kelly Benarick, registered nurse, at

Arcola Intermediate School and Skyview Upper Elementary School.

Salary: $32,800. Effective: August 31, 2010. This is a new position.

c. Approve the employment of Curtis Brown, physics instructor at

Methacton High School. Salary: $41,000 based on Bachelors,

Step 1. Effective: August 31, 2010. This is a replacement position.

3. EMPLOYMENT – CLASSIFIED

a. Approve the employment of William Way, bus driver. Hourly rate of $20.13. Effective: May 26, 2010. This is a replacement position.

health and physical education instructor at Woodland and Arrowhead
