Welcome Back Orchestra Parents!
As a parent of an Orchestra member (grades 4-12),
you automatically are a member of the MTSD Orchestra Parents organization.
We Support Our Orchestras by:
§ Providing volunteers to assist with performances and educational activities
§ Funding clinicians and guest artists at all levels
§ Coordinating Solo and Ensemble coaching for middle and high school students
§ Offering fundraising opportunities for Orchestra travel
§ Maintaining and purchasing instruments and equipment

More information on both fundraisers coming soon. It’s a great opportunity for your child to earn money for future orchestra travel!! All proceeds benefit the student seller and are held in an individual account for travel.
We Need You!
MTSD Orchestra Parents is a great way to get involved at school
while encouraging your child’s musical development and supporting our orchestra programs!
Open roles for the ’17-’18 school year:
· Board Secretary: This person takes notes at our meetings for our official records. We have about 4-5 meetings per year. This role also will help distributing publicity posters around town for some of our High School Concerts.
· Fundraising Co-Chair (Student Accounts): Works with current Co-Chair to coordinate and distribute student fundraising materials at middle and high schools
· Dine-out Nights: Contacts local restaurants about scheduling fundraising nights where they share the profits with our organization on a night where our members dine in their restaurant. Typically, 2 or 3 Dine-Outs per year.
Other volunteer opportunities are always available: concert ushers, receptions help, fundraising, bus and rehearsal chaperones (for Elementary and Middle levels).
