  2. ALL Homecoming Maids will meet at7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24in Ms. Tompkins's room (W211). Make sure that you bring the items listed in the letter that you received. Also, if you have not picked up your letter, then you need to do so ASAP.
  3. Homecoming Maids will have their picture taken for the Clinton Courier at7:45 a.m. on Thursday, September 26. We will meet in the commons area outside of the library.
  4. NHS Members:Tues Sept. 24is the last day to pay your dues.7:50 to 8:15at the east wing entrance. Failure to take care of this results in probation.

Anchor Club is partnering with a Jackson-area business to ask spectators of the Clinton vs. Madison Central football game to make donations to the hospital.We will set up tables at the visitor’s side and home side with donation buckets available.I need 8dependablevolunteers to help with this process!See Mrs. Berry if you're interested.

  12. Clinton'sOctober 11football game against Murrah will be our "Pink Out" game for Tackle a Cure. The Tackle a Cure t-shirts are available for sale for a limited time prior to the game so you will have it to wear! They are only $10, but we must place a pre-order.   14. Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time to clear your throats, tune your instruments and dust off your dancing shoes. Sumner Hill will be hosting "Clinton's Top Talent" on November 15 and 16. Think "American Idol", Clinton style. The competition is open city wide to anyone living in the Clinton City Limits. There will be 2 divisions - The Jr. Division will be grades 7 - 9 and the SR Division will be grades 10 - 12. The preliminary round will be Friday night, November 15 at 7 pm and a panel of judges will choose who gets to return Saturday night November 16 to battle it out for Clinton's Top Talent. $20 registration fee deadline is November 1. For more information, stop by the Sumner Hill Jr. High office or the choir room for a registration form. Spectator tickets can be purchased from any Sumner Hill choir member for $5. Seating is limited so get your tickets soon. Come join the fun as we see who will be named "Clinton's Top Talent"

Get2College Scholarship Competitionis awarding fifty, $1, 000 scholarships to high school seniors. Application criteria: student must be a MS resident and a high school senior graduating from a MS high school in Spring 2014, submit only one application and essay, plan to enroll in an accredited college or university as a full-time student in Fall 2014AND submit their application with essay electronically or by mail byDecember 1, 2013. Juniors:Get2Collegeis offering a scholarship competition for residents or Hinds, Madison and Rankin Counties. Students could win a $500 scholarship. Criteria for applying: student must be a high school junior attending school in Hinds, Madison, or Rankin County, submit only one application along with resume, and plan to enroll in an accredited college or university as a full-time student in fall 2015. Voices of Democracy Patriotic Audio Essay Competition: The Voices of Democracy each year conducts a scholarship competition across the United States. Grade prize is a $30,000 scholarship. For entry, students (grades 9-12) can submit an application and a 3-5 minute audio essay. This year’s theme is,Why I’m Optimistic about our Nation’s Future. All entries must be received byNovember 1, 2013. For more information please stop by the Career Center located in the Counseling Office.

High School and Community College Day at Tougaloo College will be heldFriday, October 18, 2013, in the campus gym.If you would like to attend, please send an email of interest including name and school attending toby Friday, October 5th.

Any interested music majors or minors can stop by the Music Department’s booth to sign in and collect information about the Music Department. MississippiState's School of Architecture will offer a free workshop for high school and college students who want to know more about developing quality resumes and portfolios in architecture, art, interior design or building construction.

High-achieving students who plan to become teachers now have a new financial aid opportunity available to them. The Teacher Education Scholars Program provides a $15,000 per year award, which covers tuition, room and board and books for each scholar. Applications for the program are available online.
