Director of Ministry to Youth and their Parents

Job Purpose
The Director of Ministry to Youth and their Parents has overall responsibility for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and evaluating the Church’s ministry to youth from 6th Grade through High School and their parents.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Work with the pastor, church staff, and volunteers to build a ministry to youth and their parents that:
o Introduces youth of the church and community to Jesus Christ and calls them to trust in him
o Teaches youth the Bible and understanding of Christian theology
o Expresses Jesus’ call to follow him as his disciples in every dimension of life
o Provides opportunities for youth to lead and participate in worship
o Provides opportunities for youth to serve others in the church and community
o Equips parents to have a role in the spiritual formation of their youth in the home
· Evaluate and modify, enhance, or end current ministry events.
· Relate to Trinity Christian School administrators, staff and students:
o Speak during chapel at Trinity Christian School on Fridays when needed
o Coordinate school and church calendars
o Coordinate activities that may include TCS students in Youth Ministry activities
Qualifications
· Be a committed disciple of Jesus Christ with personal maturity in leading and serving others in a Christian lifestyle.
· College education desired. Theological education preferred.
· Love for young people and experience in Youth Ministry.
Position Specifics
· This is a Part-Time position of 20 hours per week.
· Salary is $15.00 per hour. Benefits will be negotiated with the Personnel Team.
