Meeting Minutes
Scott motioned to approve March meeting minutes. This motion is seconded by Jim Burke. This motion passes.
Finance / Treasurer’s Report
2 quotes received for tax prep. H&J $800.00, H&W is $750 firm for 2 years.
Scott motioned to accept H&W’s quote. Mark Sobonya seconded the motion. 7 for 0 against. Motion passes.
MSC fundraiser was successful. Raised $4,534.00

Committee Updates
Comm/PR
Signs will be hung at Garfield and Memorial
Coach evaluations will be out this month
Summer camps are being advertised in the schools and City of Mentor magazine
Coaching
4 coaches are going to obtain E License
Krueger had to be closed for a few days due to field conditions
Goals need to be removed from fields at the end of each season
Indoor sessions are almost done and went well
Have enough coaches for rec
Scott will talk to the city about aerating the fields at Krueger
Rec Report
Rec tournament is scheduled for the weekend of June 6th
All Star weekend is scheduled for Friday, May 30th
Registration for spring session is open
All players are off waitlists and rosters are very full
Tom Turner will conduct a 2 part training session for U8 rec players and coaches only
On April 23rd and May 8th, 6-7pm @Garfield
West G U15 coed pulled out. Amy will see if their players would like to play here
Longo’s comped ref meeting meals so MSC would like to send out positive referrals to all members because of their generosity
Jeff Petro – rules around sponsors, should we have a contract to allow sponsors to use our logo?
Wave Report
Outdoor season has started
Mesh did well at tournament took first place
Next tournament for Mesh is July 4th weekend
MSC has a lot of teams going to the Columbus Memorial weekend tournament
Wave U14 boys will walk on the field with Columbus Crew on May 22nd
U10 – U14 6pm April 24th, Tryouts for PFC/Wave
Need to schedule time for rec players to come to Wave practices need volunteers
Wave tryouts June 13-14. Rosters will be delayed this year due to longer season.
Wave is running a deficit
Wave fees need to increase from $275.00 to $300.00
Fees need to be paid upfront or payment schedules need to be enforced more strictly (charge late fees?)
Mark, Aldo, and Missy will look into payment methods
Volunteer
Had a good turnout of volunteers for field lining this season
Ref situation is good for spring
Need volunteer for picture day – coordinator description is available online
Offer a summer camp registration
Picture day September 12 and September 19
Look into using an intern for picture day coordinator
Administration
Scott and Jeff met with Dan Luellen from the City of Mentor
They asked if the city could aerate the fields at Krueger. Also, they obtained all permits for parks
Permits need to be laminated and hung on building at Krueger
City of Mentor did purchase land on Heisley – may be similar to Walsh
MHS soccer field is getting turf – will the club be able to use it at all?
PCA – Ken attended a Presentation by US Youth Soccer along with Liberty Mutual
This is the same idea as PCA but it’s free
Look @ USYS/Liberty Mutual Positive Play program
Old Business
Old uniforms for donation will be complete in the summer
Intern Job description is still be worked on. Ken will meet with Amy and Missy this week and hopes to have the job description out shortly after
New Business
4v4 tournament was a success again this year
Looking into new ideas for next year
Jim Buchan would still like to do the 4v4 tournament as well as a dinnerdance preseason
Preseason dinner dance would be adult only
Andy is raising tournament fees next year
Suspended player cards have not been sent out yet. Missy wants to double check them for errors
Put introduction in newsletter for Mark Sobonya as our new Wave Administrator
