Men and Women of Mines
The oldest honor that UTEP bestows upon its students, Men and Women of Mines recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding service to the University.
Those who are ultimately chosen for this honor must have: a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2, have completed at least 90 credit hours, graduate no later than December 2007, not have received this award before, and demonstrate outstanding "Campus Involvement and Service" in these areas: Student Organizations & Campus Activities; College & Academic Departments; and University-Wide Committees.
Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges
A prestigious national award, Who's Who recognizes outstanding campus leaders for their scholastic and community achievements.
Those who are ultimately chosen for this honor must be a Junior, Senior or Graduate Student at UTEP, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate outstanding "Campus Involvement & Service" as well as outstanding "Community Involvement & Service" in these areas: UTEP Honors & Awards; Community Service; and Community Honors & Awards.*
*Note: If previously awarded Who’s Who, only activities, awards, and honors received after award date will be considered.
