December VAST Meeting
December 7, 2013
Attendance: Toni Duralski, Jennifer Mangelos, Mary Whatley, Maureen Campos, Nell Davis, Donna Sprouse, Mary Van Wormer, Deirdre McGrath, Gailanne Molver, Rene Myer, Arlene Stanford
Call to Order – The meeting was called to order at 6:01pm by VAST President, Toni Duralski, at the house of Nell Davis.
Minutes - The minutes were approved as read; with a first by Jennifer Mangelos and a second by Donna Sprouse.
Treasurer's Report Mary Whatley reported that there is approximately $10,603.20 (before trial reimbursements) in checking and $20 in petty cash. The recent USDAA trials net profit amount is $1494.75.
Committees:
· Membership per Jen M. - Membership renewals to go out in mail this week
· VAST CPE March 1 & 2, 2014 - premium should be up soon per Donna
· VAST USDAA February 8 & 9, 2014
· NAF USDAA May 3 & 4, 2014
Old Business:
· No update on equipment at this time
· VAST T-shirt order- Toni Duralski needs to know who would like to order what so that she can get a count together to place an order. Please let her know if you would like one if you haven’t already.
New Business:
· New VAST Secretary is Maureen Campos, and Treasurer will remain Mary Whatley for 2014-2015
· VAST Website Update - Mary Phoenix to give info later; Randi Knutson could possibly redo the VAST website for free. She has done other websites and does a great job.
· Year End Donations- All nominations were discussed. VAST will donate $200.00 each to the following organizations: Turlock Animal Shelter, Sierra Great Pyr Rescue, TADSAW (Train a Dog, Save a Warrior), and New Beginnings (Merced County rescue transport). These year- end donations were approved with a first by Gailanne Molver and a second by Donna Sprouse.
