Key Service Requirements

Please demonstrate how you meet each of the Key service requirements listed in a clear and concise manner in not more than 300 words per requirement.

1.The Crèche facility must be registered with and approved by the Trust.

2.The Crèche facility will have the ability to facilitate up to a maximum of 15 crèche places for children aged up to 4 years (1 day a week for 14 weeks from 10.00am until 2.00pm )at least 10 of these places will be for children aged between 1 and 4 years.

3.The Crèche facility will provide staff who are suitably qualified – leader and deputy leader qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and at least 50% of other staff should be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 in Childcare.

4.The Crèche Facility will provide staffing levels that meet the designated Trust requirements for adult / child ratio for the various age groups (0 – 2 years 1 adult for 3 children 2 – 3years 1 adult for 4 children 3 – 5 years 1 adult for 8 children where there are different ages the highest ratio will apply )

5.The Crèchefacility will provide staff that have been fully vetted by Access NI.

6.The Crèche facility will have had a SHSCT Trust Social Services inspection within the last year, meeting all Trust requirements.

7.The Crèche facility should be able to demonstrate ability to provide a tailored programme for children in the 0 – 4 age bracket taking account of safety, comfort , stimulating activities

8.The Crèche facility will provide all resources for child based activities eg. Toys, arts,crafts etc

9.The Crèche facility will holdvalid Public and Employers Liability Insurance

Accommodation

Please indicate how you can met the essential accommodation requirements

  • 1 room for training purposes to accommodate 12 adults from 9.00am until 2.30pm, 1 day a week for a period of 14 weeks.
  • Seating to accommodate 12 adults
  • 1 table
  • 1 TV and DVD player (one of which must have a USB port)
  • 1 Flipchart stand

Catering Services

Please indicate how you can meet the catering requirements

Required 1 day a week for 14 weeks

  • Tea / coffee and scones for 12 adults
  • Mid morning snack for up to 15 children aged between 6 months and 4 years
  • Lunch (Hot main course + tea and coffee) for 12 adults and up to 15 children aged between 6 months and 4 years.
