- Treasurer’s Report – (Given by Jan Hasting) Holiday Open House is not a fundraiser however Woodward earned $1200 from this event and earned $1500 from the pie sale.
- Special presentation by a group of 4th Graders. They talked about 7 habits, what they are learning, striving to be good examples to other students and spoke about Horseshoe Meetings. They did a wonderful job, well done!
- Principal’s Report – (Matt Keller )
- We need 6 – 8 parent volunteers for the Horseshoe meetings that will take place during lunch/recess on January 28 11:30am – 12:45pm
- January 14th – Grade Cards go home
- January 21 – No school
- January 28th – Leadership Club
- School directed fundraiser event called the Great American Fund Raiser Event to kick-off Jan. 14 – 22nd. It’s a type of Magazine Sales (no door to door sales) looking for 5 names/addresses of family to send out information about magazine sign-up. This is not a PTO sponsored event, any questions, call the school.
- PTO will partner with the school and sponsor snacks for the ELO afterschool program.
- Student Recognition Assembly will take place January 25th at 2:15pm.
- Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place February 7th and 12th.
- Committee Report
- Market Day (Michelle King) – We earned $165.03 in sales. We need volunteers for Thursday, January 24th. Contact Michelle if you can help.
- Campbell Soup Labels (Denise Kilton) – we have about 10,500 points. We need about 25,000 points to earn rewards.
- Box Tops (Lisa Dudley) – 136 maps were turned in and we earned $340 dollars. Mrs. Shaal’s class earned the breakfast and trophy last month.
IV.President’s Report
- Strand Movie Night was a big success, there was a full house. Strand would like to offer another movie night to Woodward in the Spring. Date TBD
- Holiday Open House – Thank you to all the volunteers/donators, it went smooth and the kids enjoyed it. If you have any feedback or suggestions for next year, please let Lisa Dudley and team know.
- Hula Frog sign-up has been extended until January 31. Please sign-up on-line and our school will earn $1.00 for each family that signs up.
- Marcos Pizza Day was December 19th and the school earned $100. Mrs. Ryan’s class won the free pizza night. Next fundraiser day will be Wednesday, January 16th.
- Parent/teacher conferences will be February 7 and February 12th. We will need volunteers to bring in meals for the teachers. Jen Richardson will coordinate volunteers.
- Valentines Day Parties are coming up. We will need parents to help out with the parties on Valentines Day, February 14 at 2:00pm
- Family Resource Center – Ms. Moore is looking for volunteers to be on an advisory committee that would meet on the 2nd Monday of each month from 4:00 – 5:00pm. Please contact Family Resources Center for more information.
- Foertmeyer Flower Fundraiser was discussed and unanimously agreed upon to do it again this year. Details to follow.
- Woodward is in need of a new PA system. The PTO voted and we will fund this new system.
- BW3’s had a fundraiser in December to raise money for the Sandy Hook School. All donations went to the school.
- PTO will be looking for a new President and Treasure for next year. Please consider joining the team!
