MEETING ON 18TH SEPTEMBER, 2010 AT THE LEELA

On 18th September, 2010 The Leela very graciously hosted a meeting, where we celebrated the achievements of the Mumbai Finalists and took inspiration from them. After the registration and partaking of the high tea and snacks the evening began with a presentation by one of the Management Team of the Hotel, who took us on a virtual tour of their chain of hotels at Goa, Bangalore, Kovalam, Gurgaon, Udaipur and New Delhi. He pointed out that the Hotels are built to blend in with the specific architecture of the place, e.g. the Bangalore Hotel being built along the lines of the Mysore Palace, etc. He also gave us a preview of future launches at Chennai, Hyderabad, Agra and Kerala.

Mrs. Zarine Commissariat next took the podium and started by felicitating the Management Team at Leela and led the members in a round of appreciation to each member of the team. She urged the members not to leave before taking a tour of the hotel and appraising the facilities so that they could recommend the same at their place of work. She then invited the three finalists to share their experiences while competing for the All India Secretary Contest.

Ms. Hazel Pereira, second runner-up, related her experience with the entire process of participating in the contest. Her participation and win in the contest had brought her immense recognition and popularity at work. She thanked IASAP for providing a platform for the Secretaries to prove themselves.

The Mumbai winner, Ms. Hira Mehta, also thanked IASAP for providing a platform for the secretaries to challenge themselves and their capabilities. She found that participating in the contest brings a lot of value to you as a person and a lot of accolades as well.

She said the experience made you think on a lot of issues while preparing the Presentation, the theme of which was “Going Green”. She looked forward to making IASAP proud at the Contest at Taipei in Taiwan next week.
