Discussion and final format of questionnaire.
Dartmouth Survey
The Chairman reported that the Town council had adopted the questionnaire with the condition that “would you support Pay and Display in Dartmouth if the proceeds were used to support residents parking and improved Park and Ride?” was added.
A copy of the revised questionnaire had been laid round the table.
There was discussion regarding the question concerning Pay and Display being simpler.
Following a proposal by Cllr Cawley Seconded by Cllr S Smith, members voted on the inclusion of a question “Are you in favour of Pay and Display?” It was defeated by 6 votes to 2.
Minor amendments to the questionnaire were suggested, which included a note saying that a more detailed questionnaire was also available.
Members then voted on the proposed revisions by 7 in favour and 2 against.
Surrounding Parish Survey (format and which parishes).
It was agreed to delete question 3 and 4, but include several additional ones which included, “How often do you go to Dartmouth?” and the duration of the visit. Also “Do you use the privilege permit?”
The survey would be made available to the following Parishes:-
Blackawton
Dittisham
Kingswear
Stoke Fleming
Strete
And several hamlets.
Next Step.
The Chairman reported that the above very much depended on the responses. It was agreed for a deadline of 2 weeks following delivery of the questionnaires. Members will be notified of the timescale including deadlines.
