Treasurer Report

Team Fees Discussion – Opportunity for Improvement: Better Communication & Payment Flexibility

Treasurer, Venita, gave report that we are spending an average of $10k per year over the past 3 years on operating TD weekends. Payment of Team Fees is critical to the ministry of the TD weekends.

1)About 66% of team envelopes were collected last time but not all have payments.

2)Scholarships will remain available for those with a need and all scholarship needs should be communicated back to the Treasurer for review and approval as funds are available.

3)As a community, we need to provide a way to pay team fees ($85) flexibly (like monthly) – PayPal is being looked at as a means – Ken Hayes has some info. We are also looking into other ways for team members to make small payments throughout the year.

4)Joe suggested team envelopes have contact info for Treasurer to discuss full/partial scholarship needs. Bill Bailey (men) and Jill Travis or Venita (women) will discuss the importance of team fees at team meeting.

Facilities Report

Danny checked on the availability of FUMCO for TD weekends. He picked up an application for FUMCO and was told the Youth Group can not be relocated for sleeping arrangements for TD. Jim also offered further information on this issue. FUMCO will not be available.

Danny will check on exact count of mattresses available for weekend candidate use, but sponsors are still responsible to provide candidate bedding.
