Call to Order – Cecily Grzywacz

a.  Roll Called 2:15 pm

b.  12 out of 13 voting members were present- a Quorum is reached.

c.  Self-introductions were made around the room.

d.  Lewis passed out sign-in sheet, and copies of San Antonio Minutes and Dallas Agenda.

Dallas Agenda Approval - Grzywacz

a.  Grzywacz called for additions.

b.  Motion: Cox, Approve Agenda

Action Items

Handbook Chapters

a.  Lead Authors are to have outlines for their Chapters by the Dallas Meeting

o  Discussion postponed until subcommittee report

b.  Bob Cox is to develop a skeleton framework so that all of the TC9.8 Chapters look somewhat the same.

o  Bob passed out framework via email on 1-28-13, comments were welcomed though none were given – action item complete

Justice Facilities Guideline

a.  Cecily Grzywacz to call for meetings to support Justice Facilities Guideline.

o  Vehlow: Planning on a Sunday meeting in Denver – pursuing a guideline

o  Fitts: Requested any justice facility expert’s input on the guideline

Old Business

San Antonio Summer Meeting Minutes Approval - Grzywacz

a.  Grzywacz called for corrections.

b.  Motion: Traylor, Approve Meeting Minutes

New Business

1  Discussed Online Plus version of Handbooks and should Apps be an alternative to Online Plus

2  Cox discussed Mixed Use and Developments Chapter vote from San Antonio and moving forward. Frank and Ralph to submit “Justification of Need” for the Handbook.

Liaison Reports

TAC Section 9 Report – Grzywacz

a.  Recognized Hightower Award winner.

b.  Discussed presentation for use to present TC information to local chapters.

c.  Members are encouraged to review TC website. Webmaster has updated the site and welcomes comments.

d.  Requested Members to review their Bio on Website to be updated with employment discipline.

e.  Future TC Meetings to be available to incorporate electronic meetings and/or conference call meetings.

RAC Section 9 Report - Mills

a. Approximately 8 research projects to near completion.

b. Listed several design guides

c. Grzywacz requested that Mills emails the list

TC 9.6 Healthcare – Cox/Westbrook

a.  Several attendees at the TC meeting.

b.  RTARs regarding low humidity limits are a topic of interest

c.  Research project from TC9.3 is broad and the scope may include any building type; TC 9.6 will possibly be involved; project scope is morphing into larger than first thought

d.  RTAR 1603 – Develop field measurement procedure for air pathogen transmission

e.  RTAR 1630 – TC5.11 Low Humidity Limits RTAR approved

f.  Energy benchmarking data for hospitals available through Westbrook for those interested

TC 9.7 Educational Facilities – Kelter/Mills

a. Presentation regarding mold in schools available on ASHRAE website

b. Net Zero Energy School going for a program for Denver

TG Justice Facilities – Vehlow

a.  7 voting members; expecting 5 to 6 for regular attendance.

b.  Expecting to have forums and recruit others

c.  Expecting to create a design guide with energy savings components

d.  Handbook Chapter editing to commence

e.  Bob Cox will be chair July 1st.
