·  Expense for Fold-up Module Legs $160 - $200

·  IRS Non-profit Status: IRS has requested more information and clarification. Must add required text to Club Constitution/By-Laws. Response required by September 2nd.

DCC Committee: Glenn

·  No change

DCC Taskforce: Craig N/A

Lift-up Bridge Committee: Jeff

·  Bridge ready to test at Granger Garland work session. May dissolve committee afterwards if no new issues.

Standards Committee:

·  Leonard stepping down from Standards Committee and appointing Jeff Liedl as the new Committee Chairman.

Other:

·  Please refrain from discussing controversial topics such as politics and religion in public forums where the Club is setting up and displaying or is being represented.

·  Please refrain from handling other Members locomotives or property without their permission.

Membership:

·  Terry Kneten was not able to attend this meeting.

·  Gary Locke attended his second Club Meeting.

Modules:

·  Jeff handed out new module map and module list. Modules will now be referred to by their number

·  Modules Available: 20 (straight 4 foot) & 28 (straight 5 foot)

North Texas Council: Pete will attend meeting Tuesday 18th

Next Club Setup: Granger Rec Center Annex Bldg – Garland, 9/25 – 9/27

·  9/25 Friday: Setup 5p-9p

·  9/26 Saturday: 9a-5p

·  9/27 Sunday: 9a-4p

·  Teardown on Sunday at 2:00p

·  Module work currently being completed offline at Members homes to save time and shift focus to other layout issues during Granger Setup. Focus will be placed on yard issues such as Turnouts and Tortoises.

Carrollton Setup: Hank N/A – All information current

Frisco Christmas Display: James Bobo

·  Frisco Square has not yet made a commitment according to Bob Schaeffer

·  James will follow-up with Bob for status

Constitution & By-Laws Updates: Jeff & Tom

·  Club voted on and Approved updates as requested by the IRS for tax- exempt status. Appropriate text will be added to these documents as necessary to expedite approval process.

Show & Tell - Module 28: Jeff

·  Module 28’s new fold-up legs and Skyboard attachment method were demonstrated for the Club.

·  Club voted on and approved the expenditure of Club funds to cover the costs of fold-up legs for Club owned modules and any module owner who may be interested.

·  Skyboards: Expense to complete Skyboards $499.

·  It is recommended to implement fold-up legs first, then Skyboards.

Mini Clinic: Pete & Tom

Pete & Tom presented a DVD slideshow of their Railfanning trip to Colorado.

New Club Shirts and Caps were distributed to the Membership
