IV.  RECOGNITIONS/ACCOMPLISHMENT

1.  Megan Moll

The Board of Trustees wishes to congratulate Megan Moll, currently a Grade 7 student at Alexandra Middle School, and past student of Central Park and Connaught Schools, for the illustrations she contributed to the published book, Mr. Man in the Moon and I”, by L. M. Anderson.

2.  Quinn Skelton

Congratulations to Quinn Skelton, teacher and football coach at Medicine Hat High School, on being named NFL-Canada Youth Football Coach of the Year. Mr. Skelton has coached the Mohawks football team for the past 19 seasons. The criteria for this award was not based on wins and losses of a team, rather it rewards community involvement and developing athletes. One of the rewards for Mr. Skelton is the Medicine Hat High School football program will receive $5,000 worth of new equipment and $1,000 credit from Home Depot to put towards facility renovations. Mr. Skelton also won a trip to the Vanier Cup university championship game in Hamilton, Ontario.

1. Audited Financial Statements

An external audit is required to be completed on an annual basis. The Board’s appointed auditors, Johnston Morrison Hunter and Co. LLP have now completed their audit work.

The Audited Financial Statements are hereby presented to the Board for their review and adoption as official results for the year ending August 31, 2008.

It is recommended that the Board officially approve the enclosed Audited Financial Statements for the year ending August 31, 2008.
