Shot Put and Discus-All implements will be pooled and must remain pooled until the end of the Group competition. Varsity Throwers will have 3 preliminary throws-The top 8 competitors will be taken to the finals 3-additional throws will be awarded. All preliminary throws will carry over to the finals. All JV competitors will be given 4 throws. All Implements will be checked before being pooled-They must remain pooled until the event is over. Measure all throws that are not scratched in the varsity division. You may use markers in the JV division.

Varsity Long and Triple Jump-3 jumps in the prelims and the top eight jumpers will be taken to the finals-3 additional jumps will be awarded. Preliminary jumps do carry over to the finals. All JV jumpers will be given 4 jumps.

Running Prelims will begin 1 hour after the field events.

Relay Exchange Judges

1st exchange 400 Relay (Gold) & 800m run & 1600 Relay break in line—(Eddy/Marlin)

2nd exchange 400 Relay (Gold) and 1st (Red) and 3rd (Gold) exchange 800 Relay-- (West/Teague)

3rd exchange 400 Relay (Gold) and 2nd exchange 800 relay (Red)—(McGregor/Clifton)

Information

*-No Camps on the infield-Tents must be set up in the stands or outside the Fenced area around the track on the visitors side. Only coaches and Athletes will be allowed on the visitor’s side.

*No spikes over 1/8 inches

*No Tape marks on track or runways

*Competitors and Coaches only on the infield-Everyone else need to be in the stands.

*All inquiries need to go through (Tim Seward-Athletic Director McGregor)

The District Athletic Directors will make up the rules committee.

We will use our Flash timing system/sync 8 timers and pickers will be used as back-ups incase there is any problem with the technology.

*Finals will be posted online on Microsport

*McGregor Booster club will be running the concession stand-Meal tickets are available for 6.00. Make all meal checks payable to McGregor Athletic Booster Club.

*Coaches and workers will be fed in the field house starting at 12:00 on Tuesday.

*Before You leave I will have sheets in the field house that need to be filled out with correct spelling of your regional qualifiers. This will eliminate any confusion or emails later.

Our Scratch meeting will be held Monday night April 11th-We will go over opening heights, heat and lane, etc.. We will be feeding all coaches in attendance that evening. The meeting will start at 6:00 pm.

Our Starter is going to be Ronny Payne of Belton-NCAA certified/UIL state meet worker for 30 years.

Our Meet referee is going to be Scotty Miller of Tolar-He was our meet referee last year.

We will follow a time schedule for the finals-same as the regional meet time schedule.
