The seller guarantees this canine is an AKC register able animal, and has official paperwork. And that said dog has no known disease, illness or known hereditary condition that adversely affects the health of the dog at time of sale.

The dewclaws have been removed. The puppy or puppies have been wormed and received their first puppy combo shot. We will give you an information packet and a baby blanket with their mommies smell and some pictures of the puppy growing, from new born to ready to go home.

Healthy Puppy Guarantee:

We offer a Healthy Puppy Guarantee. Within 5 days of taking your puppy home with you, take them for their first veterinarian visit, if there is a genetic or health issue, with written documentation from the vet, return the puppy with the paperwork and we will give you a full refund or choice of a future litter.

We do ask that you protect your puppy from injuries. They shouldn’t go up and down a lot of stairs without “speed controls” (a leash) in place. Labs are usually in a hurry to get down stairs and to the event, so they tend to do the barely controlled decline. Teach them to go slowly, or use a leash to control them on stairs. Also, do not play Frisbee and jumping exercises until after they are 2 years old and their bones and joints are done with the rapid growth period.

Breeder is not responsible for any other accidents, condition, ailments, or diseases etc the dog may acquire in the 25 months old guarantee or in its lifetime.

This contract and guarantees are only for the family who buys the puppy from Eaglesnestlabs. It does not continue with the dog if it changes ownership.

Traveling and shipping

When you pick up your puppy, you will probably bring a crate and towel with you. All the puppies we have picked up, they end up on our lap with a towel under them. It’s great bonding time with your new puppy. We will ship, but all cost pertaining to the certificate of health, crate and shipping are at the new owner’s expense. This is approximately $350 including the vet health certificate, the crate and the airline charges. Plus gas for us to get to the airport.

Training

We are not trainers, but do suggest that you take your puppy to a puppy obedience class when they have had all their shots. It’s a great time for you both to learn from the professionals and it helps to socialize your puppy to other animals and people. Labs are typically very friendly, but they still need to be socialized. If you have issues that you just can’t seem to get past, you are welcome to call us and we will help if we can. Or try to find you the answer you need. Labs are puppies for up to 2 years and the first year can be a challenge. Again, the more time you spend with your puppy and training, the faster and better they will learn and you can avoid costly mistakes and issues.

Crate Training

We very highly suggest the use of a crate, especially at bed time. This is a safe place for your puppy to sleep and for you to sleep knowing they can’t get into too much trouble for the night. This also becomes the safe place for your puppy to go when he is worried, scared or tired. After about a week you may say, where is the puppy? Check the crate; they like to go in it and sleep. This is their comfort zone once they get use to it. Put their baby blanket in it, a toy to chew on when they are awake bored and you aren’t awake yet.

Vaccinations

Take your puppy to the vet and start the series of puppy shots that are needed. We make sure they have their first shot at 6 weeks; it’s up to you to keep the schedule the vet feels necessary to assure your puppy is protected. Please be very careful of where you take your puppy until after they have had all their puppy shots. Parvo can be deadly to your puppy and heartbreaking to you. Do not sit your puppy on any surface at your vet’s office; don’t take them to a dog park or dog beach. Ask your vet about Parvo and what they suggest to protect your puppy and how long they should be contained within your yard from the possibility of contracting this terrible disease.
