May 2017 3-8 STAAR: What to Bubble (score codes)
The score code information below assumes that the child will take the test. If he or she is absent or has an event occurs such as cheating, you would bubble the appropriate code for that particular subject (vs. āSā for score).
STAAR Documents:
- Grades 3-5 Students take both subjects on paper
- Mark the TEST TAKEN INFO field for English or Spanish and the Form # field for each subject.
- Mark the appropriate score code, A(absent), O(other), or S(score) for each subject.
- Complete the Accommodations field as necessary for each subject.
- Grades 3-5 Students one subject on paper and one subject on the computer
- Mark the TEST TAKEN INFO field for English or Spanish and the Form # field for each subject tested on paper.
- Mark the appropriate score code, A(absent), O(other), or S(score) for each subject tested on paper.
- Complete the Accommodations field as necessary for each subject tested on paper.
- Mark the asterisk (*) score code for the subject tested online.
- Grades 3-5 Students takes both subjects on computer
- Submit no answer document.
- Place the precoded answer document with the voids.
- Grades 6-8 Students (testing on grade level) taking both test on paper
- Complete the Form# field for each subject tested on paper.
- Mark the appropriate score code, A(absent), O(other), or S(score) for each subject tested on paper.
- Complete the Accommodations field as necessary for each subject tested on paper.
- Grades 6-8 Students one subject on paper and one subject on the computer
- Complete the Form # field for each subject tested on paper.
- Mark the appropriate score code, A(absent), O(other), or S(score) for each subject tested on paper.
- Complete the Accommodations field as necessary for each subject tested on paper.
- Mark the asterisk (*) score code for the subject tested online.
- Grades 6-8 Students takes both tests on computer
- Submit no answer document.
- Place the precoded answer document with the voids.
- Grade 7 Pre-Ap Science Students (How to Code the precoded Grade 8 Answer Document)
- Grade 7 Pre-Ap science students will take science on the precoded 8th grade answer document on Wednesday, May 10th.
- Complete the Form # field for each subject tested on paper.
- Mark the appropriate score code, A(absent), O(other), or S(score) for science and O(other) for social studies.
- Complete the Accommodations field as necessary for each subject tested on paper.
- DO NOT Bubble EOC/above grade level for Test Taken Info for science.
- Grade 8Astronomy, Chemistry, or Physics Students (How to Code the precoded Grade 8 Answer Document)
- Grade 8 students who took the Grade 8 science exam as a 7th Grade Pre-Ap student will not test.
- On the pre-coded answer document mark O(other)
- Please remember that students can only test for currently enrolled subjects.
- Complete the Form # field for each subject tested on paper.
- Mark the appropriate score code, A(absent), O(other), or S(score) for social studies.
- Complete the Accommodations field as necessary for each subject tested on paper.
- Grade 7 Pre-Ap Math Students (How to Code the precoded Grade 7 Answer Document)
- Grade 7 Pre-Ap math students took the 8th grade math exam on Wednesday, March 29th.
- Grade 7 Pre-Ap math students are NOT eligible for retesting in May.
- On the pre-coded answer document mark O(other) for math.
- Bubble EOC/above grade level for Test Taken Info for math.
- Complete the Form # field for each subject tested on paper.
- Mark the appropriate score code, A(absent), O(other), or S(score) for reading.
- Complete the Accommodations field as necessary for each subject tested on paper.
- Grade 8 Students taking Algebra I (EOC Answer Document)
- Grade 8 Students taking Algebra I will test on a designated by the campus during May 1st ā May 5th.
- Mark score the appropriate score code A(absent), O(other), or S(score).
- Complete the Form # field for each subject tested on paper.
- Complete the Accommodations field as necessary for each subject tested on paper.
- Complete the date tested.
