  • May 1 - College Applicants must confirm their acceptance of an offer of admission through OCAS. After this date, the college will determine the date the confirmation of acceptance is due
  • May 5 - Deadline for the OUAC to receive, from Ontario secondary schools, all second semester mid-term grades for 4U/M courses (you do not need to send your courses and marks. The PDSB takes care of this for you)
  • May 28 – Expect to receive a response from an Ontario University by this date. Such a response will be one of the following: (1) an offer of admission (2) a refusal (3) a deferral pending the receipt of some specific additional information
  • Mid May – college fees invoices are mailed/emailed
  • Check your email (including spam/junk mail folder) and your mailbox for offers of admission.

June

  • June 1 - The earliest date by which Ontario universities may require a response to an offer of admission and a financial commitment of any kind (e.g., registration deposit, residence deposit, etc.) from an Ontario secondary school student
  • June 15 – Earliest date that colleges may require payment of tuition fees
  • Continue to check and apply for scholarships, grants, and bursaries
  • Make sure your portfolio is up-to-date (for programs requiring a portfolio)
  • Ensure you are aware of audition dates and time
  • Ensure you are prepared for any auditions
  • Apply for post secondary residency
  • Residency deposit needs to be made

July

  • Early July – college tuition fees are due
  • July 7 - Deadline for the OUAC to receive final grades for current semester/year courses from Ontario secondary schools (sent by the PDSB)

August

  • August 1-29 – OUAC collects summer school grades
  • Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their summer school marks are sent to the OUAC upon completion of the course(s) they are taking. Only an original, official, final document will be accepted by the OUAC. Applicants should also contact the universities to which they have applied informing them that an official final document has been submitted to the OUAC for input
  • If you have decided to pursue post-secondary education during this time, you may still have a "walk in" option! During the two- to three-week period, just before classes begin, post-secondary schools sometimes discover they still have room for students. Apply now… it’s possible you can still be accepted!
  • Make sure you have paid your tuition fees by the first day of class

Your social insurance number (if you don’t have one, you will need to get one ASAP)

Your OEN number (found on your status sheet)

Your complete home mailing address (including your postal code)

Payment format (credit card strongly recommended). You have to pay to apply - cost: $95 for a maximum of 5 program choices (maximum of 3 per school)

Program choices (make sure you have recorded the schools and the campus, the program names and start date)

  • Oct. 20-21: Attend the Ontario College Information Fair at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Grounds

  • Start applying to Ontario university undergraduate programs. Apply at and click on the ‘Undergraduate Application (OUAC 101) Current Ontario Secondary School Students’ icon, and then click on the ‘101 online application’. Then you will click on the ‘Login’ icon.
  • Make sure you have the following ready when you apply:

Your PIN and your school number (included with your PIN, can also be obtained from your guidance counsellor)

Your student number

Your complete home mailing address (including your postal code)

Payment format (credit card strongly recommended). You have to pay to apply - cost: $135 for 3 program choices. Each additional choice of program is $44
