Math U See Primer K

Class Description:

In this kindergarten math class the student will use Math U See Primer to learn math. Math U See is a curriculum that uses manipulatives to illustrate and teach math concepts. Student work toward building understanding by using a multi-sensory, mastery-based approach. (

The student will learn to write numbers, basic addition and subtraction, basic counting, skip counting, geometric shapes, telling time, and be introduced to the manipulative block system.

K.2.A Copy, extend, describe, and create simple repetitive patterns.

K.2.C Model addition by joining sets of objects that have 10 or fewer total objects when joined and model subtraction by separating a set of 10 or fewer objects.

K.3.A Identify, name, and describe circles, triangles, rectangles, squares (as special rectangles), cubes, and spheres.

1.1.F Fluently compose and decompose numbers to 10

Learning Activities: The student will complete 3-4 lessons (units) per month, per the timeline below.
