6TH MATH CURRENT EVENT

HOW DOES MATH APPLY TO OUR DAILY LIVES?

Students will bring in and respond to a MATH current event from the media (news reports, editorials, math cartoons, newspapers, magazines, science journals, technology magazines etc.). Please cut out the article and attach it to the back of the paper.

Possible Websites:

  • A general summary of the article
  • Three things you learned from the article
  • Examples of how the information in the article relates to math. (Please expand beyond “it has numbers in it”.)
