POLICIES and PROCEDURES
CLASS RULES
In order to create a positive learning environment for all of us, please follow ALL school rules in addition to our class rules:
- Follow directions
- Report to class on time
- Bring required materials to class EVERY DAY
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
- Refrain from name calling, put-downs, and bullying
HOMEWORK GUIDELINES
Daily homework assignments will be recorded in student's Chaney-Monge planner and will be written in pen
Homework assignments will be written in PENCIL on loose-leaf paper. Spiral notebook paper and pen will NOT be accepted.
Homework will be CHECKED for COMPLETENESS and will be scored using a 5-point scale OR will be GRADED for ACCURACY
Binders and folders will be organized into the following sections: policies, grades, notes, homework, tests/quizzes.

In the upper right-hand corner of paper (above first blue line)
- First Line ~ First and Last Name / Homeroom
- Second Line ~ Date
- Third Line ~ Assignment
ABSENCES
ANTICIPATED ABSENCES ~ Please inform me of your anticipated absence. Arrangements will be made UPON YOUR RETURNfor making up missed work.
UNEXPECTED ABSENCES ~ In compliance with school procedures, you may request homework if you are absent THREE consecutive days. Please notify the office and your homework / materials will be ready to be picked up at 2:45 p.m.
MAKE-UP WORK
It is YOUR responsibility to get notes and assignments from a classmate upon your return from being absent
If you are absent on the day of a quiz or test, alternate arrangements will be made for making up the quiz or test

A92 – 100
B83 – 91
C74 – 82
D65 – 73
F 0 - 64
LEAVING CLASS
Once you are in class, you are expected to be in your assigned seat and are encouraged to remain in class throughout the entire period. If you request to leave for a reason other than visiting the nurseyou may use FIVE earned raffle tickets or use an earned pass. If you do not have raffle tickets or a pass, then you will be required to sign the behavior log.
CLASS DISMISSAL
Check the area around and under your desk for any papers or materials
Remain in your seat until you are dismissed by me saying "Thank you for being here" and by you responding "Thank you for having us"
