MATERIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE SESSION

Venue

The seventh session of the Partner Advisory Committee (PAC-7) will be held in Reading, United Kingdom, from 17 to 18 October 2017 at the ECMWFHeadquarters, Shinfield Park, Reading, RG2 9AX, England. The session will openat 9.00a.m. on 17 October 2017.

The working language and the documentation of the meeting will be in English

Registration of participants

Participants will need to show their ID or passport at ECMWF reception and will then receive a badge with their name for the total duration of the meeting.

List of participants

A provisional list of participants will be placed on the website of the session shortly after the beginning of the meeting. This list will be revised as soon as all participants have registered.

Internet facilities

Wireless Internet connection will be available in all ECMWF areas. Public desktop are also available in the Weather room (ground floor, next to reception).

Videoconference facilities

Provisions have been made to allow remote participation to the meeting through videoconference. Connection details will be communicated in due course.

Entry requirements

All participants requiring a visa for entry into the United Kingdom should make their visa applications directly to the nearest embassy or consulate of this country. Participants are advised to contact an embassy or consulate as early as possible to obtain precise information on regulations and deadlines for submission of applications. Currency

Currency exchange services are available at Heathrow International Airport as well as in all banks. The local currency is the Pounds (USD 1 = approx. £ 0.7). Most businesses, tour operators, airlines and hotels accept major credit cards and traveller’s cheques.
