Niamh Condron (IRE) and Rajendra Serber (US) will be conductingMaster classes in Contact Improvisation & Constant Composition at Dance Theatre of Ireland Centre for Dance in Dun Laoghaire, Mon 30 Aug – Fri 3 September.

Contact Improvisation is a dance form, originated by American choreographer Steve Paxton in 1972, based on the communication between two or more moving bodies that are in physical contact and their combined relationship to the physical laws that govern their motion—gravity, momentum, inertia.

Constant Composition classes draw from BodyMindCentering & the Alexander Technique. It is dance Improvisation that explores your relationship to self, others & the space around you invoking authentic creativity & dancing, harmony in the physical body and deep self awareness.It includes somatic sensing, bodywork, partner work & group work to awaken your mind, body, & soul.

You are welcome to do these classes for an entire week, Daily, or to do on a Class or workshop session

Taught by:

Rajendra Serber, grew up with contact improvisation as a playful and loving practice, with his father, a national wrestling champion in Argentina. Since that early experience he has studied and danced with Anna Halprin, Nita Little, Kathleen Hermsdoff, Simone Forte, Oguri, Akira Kasi, Viola Farber, Daniel Lepkoff, and many others. Niamh has been working in dance, movement & body work for over 10 years sincetraining at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, UK. She a certified yoga instructor and has trained in BodyMindCentering, Alexander Technique and the Feldenkrais Method in San Francisco & the UK. Shehas travelled the globe dancing and training with eminent dance artists and teachers; Wendy Houston, Lisa Nelson, Andrew Harwood,Julyen Hamilton, Scott Wells & Justin Morrison.
