IS 3346 and IS 3330.

Description

Includes coverage of web site creation, design, programming, planning, and maintenance.

Objectives

On completion of the course, the student should be able to:

  1. Define OOP and discuss various OOP languages.
  2. Define various application types that can be created for a web environment, including web applications and web services.
  3. Create web forms usinga web development IDE.
  4. Create database access code that allows reading from and writing to the database.
  5. Build a user interface using both HTML controls and web controls.

Purpose

To introduce the fundamentals of a high-level object-oriented programming language for the purpose of web application development, emphasizing proper class design and class programming.BABA/BSBA Information Systems major specified elective (General Information Systems concentration).Required for the Web Development concentration.
