WEEKLY BINGO RESULTS:

March 7, 2016

On March 7, 2016, attendance included 42 players (7 parishioners) and 13 volunteers. The night’s deposit of $1,310.25 will be used for gaming expenses and donations to St. Therese. Donations for 2016 total $5,500; these funds will be used for unbudgeted items and special projects. If you can volunteer at least one Monday a month, they would appreciate any help.

ATTENTION ALL PARISHIONERS

Anyone (men and women) who would be willing to be greeters at Parish Funerals, please call Mary Ann Cronin at 804-642-1077. Two people are needed at each funeral.

PARISH COUNCIL ELECTIONS

Elections for new members will be held the weekend of April 23-24 at all Masses. In his homily February 6-7 Father Jim asked us to meditate during Lent how we can serve God and some decisions will be difficult. During this season consider your gifts and choose them where they are most needed.

THERESIANS SPAGHETTI DINNER

The Theresians Spaghetti Dinner will be Saturday, April 9, 2016 starting after the 5:00 pm Mass. Tickets will be on sale after Masses the weekend of April 2nd and 3rd. Cost for the dinner will be $8 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under and $20 per family. Spaghetti, meatballs, salad and dessert will be on the menu. The Theresians hope all parishioners will join us.

SOUP WITH LOVE

Soup with Love on Friday, March 11, served 70 people and received $274 in donations. Parishioners are invited to participate with Soup with Love either by providing soups, breads, serving, setting and cleaning up, and/or just coming to have soup and fellowship.

YEAR OF MERCY PILGRIMAGE TO THE SHRINES OF ITALY WITH FR. COWLES: NOVEMBER 8-18, 2016!

CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF EASTERN VIRIGINIA

Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia is in need of gently used or new clothing (sizes newborn through 5T), baby/children's items (bouncy seats, bottle warmers, diaper genies, etc.), and baby/children's toys for a children's clothing closet that will be taking place in April for families in need in the area. Donations can be dropped off at either our Virginia Beach office location (5361 Virginia Beach Blvd.) or at our Newport News office location (12829 Jefferson Ave.).
