MERCY WEEK
In celebration of the year of Mercy and in commemoration of the 1st anniversary of Pope Francis’ visit to Philadelphia, this week has been designated as Mercy Week throughout the Archdiocese. Schools will be participating in activities that model the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. Here at Roman, students are asked to bring in non-perishable food items (canned goods, pasta, etc.). Food collected at Roman will be donated to the Sunday Breakfast Association or Saint Francis Inn. There are three locations where these items may be dropped off during the week: Main Office, Student Affairs Office, and the Student Services Office. Additionally, the daily Mass offered in Chapel during 5th period on Friday (9/23) will be for the intentions of the living and deceased members of our students’ families. Students are invited to submit intentions for the living and deceased members of their families either through your Theology classes or by bringing your prayer intention to Father Check’s Office on the 2nd floor during the school day.
