Marinus Smith Staff/Faculty Recognition Award

Each year the CU Parents Association recognizes CU-Boulder faculty and staff members who have had a significant, positive impact on one or more CU-Boulder undergraduates. This award is called the Marinus Smith Staff/Faculty Recognition Award. We invite you to nominate a person at CU-Boulder deserving of this recognition.
Nominees are selected on the strength of your nomination. So please provide enough information to distinguish your nominee from others.
Those chosen for the award and their nominators will be invited to an April 3, 2010 recognition luncheon. This is a great way to tell someone at CU-Boulder “thank you” for a job well done!
As you write your nomination, here are some things the CUPA Board will consider as it evaluates your submission:
1. The nominee must advance the quality of education or the undergraduate experience at CU-Boulder.
2. The nominee should model the integrity and ethical conduct that we expect of our CU-Boulder students.
3. The nominee should demonstrate a high degree of respect for the contributions of every member of the CU-Boulder community.
4. The nominee’s actions should benefit the CU-Boulder community by demonstrating excellence in their service and fostering a campus environment of inclusion, collaboration, and personal responsibility.
Please note: The CUPA Board reserves the discretion to decline any nomination, and to investigate any nominee. The deadline for return of this form is January 31, 2010.
