Instructions: Use this template to organize your responses for your identified academic prefix. Be concise and evidence-based in your responses, using both quantitative and qualitative data. Keep in mind that your responses to some criteria may be more detailed than others, but all should be an accurate reflection of your identified program or service.
Additional Notes:
· You may wish to use the prompts provided in the Maricopa Priorities Resource Guide Appendix F to guide responses. Note that the prompts are a guide and not required or limiting of an individual response.
· Note that some criteria may overlap in concepts or evidence. You may refer to previous responses for succinctness and establishment of connected concepts.

· For the strongest response, you may wish to collaborate with college and district colleagues

History, Development and Adaptability of the Discipline/program
This criterion is meant to assess how the discipline/program has evolved over the years.
Fit and Centrality
This criterion is meant to assess how the discipline/program fits into the institutional mission and future direction of the College and/or District.
External Demand
This criterion is meant to assess the demonstrable need for the program by entities outside of Maricopa Community Colleges.
Internal Demand
This criterion is meant to assess the need for this program by other programs within the College and/or District.
Quality of Inputs and Processes
This criterion is meant to assess the quality of the discipline/program’s faculty, students, facilities, equipment, and other resources.
Quality of Outcomes
This criterion is meant to assess the success of students/graduates of the discipline/program.
Size and Resource Production
This criterion is meant to assess the depth and breadth of the discipline/program (students, faculty, degrees/certificates awarded, services, research, etc.).
Resource Use
This criterion is meant to assess the revenue/resources generated by or relative costs associated with the discipline/program.
Opportunity Analysis
This criterion is meant to assess what the discipline/program could accomplish if given the opportunity to change or be strengthened at the institution..
