Talented students and staff performed at the Talent Show on Wednesday, March 9th. It was a big success, and we'd like to especially thank the Rawk Hawks (English faculty band) and Christie Verarde (Early Childhood Development) for supporting our students and participating in the show.
The Students are gearing up for the March-in-March on Monday (14th). About 50 Las Positas students will be going to Sacramento to march and rally in support of California Community Colleges.
The next Club Day will be April 13th, along with ASLPC Officer Elections on the 13th and 14th.

Student Services
Student Services is busy working on Spring semester events (e.g., Graduation). March has always traditionally been a month of preparing papers for rehires and purchasing cut-offs. Please note that the purchasing cut-off for Student Services is:

Please be aware that there will be no graduation mailers this year. Student Services will be notifying students that have submitted their AA/AS form to A&R with a postcard noting where the RSVP Ticket reservation is available.
All-California Scholarship nominations were awarded March 1, LPC has two students that were selected for the first team:
Takeo Hiraki & Christina Teslich
Takeo was also nominated as the Sandia Laboratories/LivermoreChamber of Commerce College Student of the Year and, we have just learned, that he is the recipient of the Coca Cola Scholarship’s Silver Award. Congradulations Takeo!
Happy Birthday to Johnny Armstrong and Leo Bianchini who will be turning one on March 17 and 22nd respectfully.
Beginning January 25 – Every Tuesday through the end of the semester the Student Health and Wellness Center will be sponsoring a de-stress hour workshop in Room 2401 (Tutorial Center). /
The Las Positas Student Health and Wellness Center is dedicated to maintaining a healthy student body, which includes preventative measures. Stress affects the body in many different ways: headache, fatigue, tension, insomnia, high blood pressure, etc. Research has proven that massage is an excellent preventive health measure, it can be beneficial in the improvement of many conditions and promote aspects of a person’s emotional, mental and physical healing.
Should and Neck Massage – starting Tuesday, February 8th with a Certified Massage Therapist.
Where: Student Health & Wellness Center (Room 1701)
When: Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon
Appt Time: 10-15 minutes per appointment
Price: Students 50¢; Faculty/Staff $1 per minute.
