  1. Draw/trace and Label a map of Europe before WWI – Identify at least 4 significant battles/campaigns that took place during the war – on your map or in your key state the significance of the battle, the death tolls for both sides and the “gains” if there were any.
  1. Draw and label a map of Europe after WWI
  1. Illustrated paragraph that explain the long term (MAIN) and immediate causes of WWI
  1. Draw and label the flags of the countries forming the Triple Alliance and the Triple Entente (be sure to get the flags from 1914)
  1. Draw and label the flags of the war time alliances – the Central Powers (4) and The Allies (6)
  1. An Illustrated Timeline of WWI (at least 10 events)
  1. Pictures and a brief description of five (5) new weapons of war
  1. Illustrated paragraph that explaining the long-term and immediate effects of WWI

Weapons of War

You need to research a minimum of 5 new weapons of war that were introduced during World War I. This must include the following.

  • A picture of each weapon – this should be gotten of the internet or copied out of a book.
  • A 1-2 sentence description that clearly answers the following questions.
  • What country started using it first (this may not be available for all weapons.)
  • What did it do/how was it used?

Flags

  • You must either draw or make the flags out of construction paper.
  • You CAN NOT print them of the internet or photo copy them from a book
  • Be sure that the flags are from 1914

Illustrated Timeline

  1. Label the illustrated timeline with the following events and battles. For events/battles you will need the start and end dates.
  2. Create a visual for each Event, visual must be neat and colorful, can be printed off the internet.
