The Civil Engineering discipline is one of the four disciplines with which the College started functioning as one of the constituent colleges of the West Bengal University of Technology. Needless to say, Civil Engineering is the oldest but potentially young core discipline appropriately recognized as the mother engineering for advancement of society, civilization and human welfare by changing the face of the world. The market demand for civil engineering graduates is considerably high up till now. So far two batches having 65 and 63 numbers of students, in the years, 2008 and 2009 respectively passed out obtaining the B.Tech degree of the West Bengal University of Technology. The success rate was 100 percent in both the years an 23 and 25 percents of the students respectively were placed in the D.G.P.A. (Degree Level Grade Point Average) of 8.5 and above.

Glorious Records of the Department:-

1.Sri Koustav Dasgupta graduated in the year 2008 secured 3rd position in the Civil Engineering Discipline at the University Level and received a Bronze Medal.

2.Ms. Debolina Basu graduated in the year 2008 has been pursuing Post Graduate study in Structural Engineering since graduation as a GATE scholar at Bengal Engineering & Science University, Shibpur.

3.Sri Sourav Chandra graduated in the year 2009 secured 1st position in the Civil Engineering Discipline at the University Level and received a Gold Medal. Sri Chandra also secured the position ‘Top of the Toppers‘ and received a number of prizes.
