Mandatory Captain’s Meeting will be held via conference call. A representative from your team must be on the call (date and time to be announced).

Date/Site of the 2016 Tennis on Campus Southern Championship: February 26 – 28 at the Yarbrough Tennis Center in Auburn, AL. Additional sites will also be used as needed. Matches will be played on hard and clay courts and may start as early as 9 a.m. central time on Friday, February 26th.

Entry Fee: $200 per team - make checks payable to USTA Southern. $175 per team if entry is received by January 25th.

Entry Deadline: Friday, February 12th – The first 16 teams that enter each draw by the deadline will be guaranteed a spot in that draw (see info below regarding the 2 draws). “B” and “C” teams are encouraged to enter. Please send your team’s completed entry form (page 2) and check made payable to USTA Southern to: Jeff Smith, 204 Ridgefield Drive, Bossier City, LA 71111 in time for it to be received no later than February 12th.

Host hotels: Hampton Inn (334.821.4111) - $105 per night, Sleep Inn (334.501.7171) - $89 per night. Teams are strongly encouraged to book their rooms early!! Your credit card will not be charged until you check out of the hotel on February 28th. Call to reserve your rooms by January 25th and ask for the “Tennis on Campus” room block to guarantee the group rate.

Amenities: All players will receive a T-Shirt and lunch on 2 days. Awards will be given to the top 2 teams in each draw.

Tournament Format: World Team Tennis collegiate format will be used. All teams are encouraged to visit the Collegiate rules page on wtt.com. For a complete explanation of the World Team Tennis Collegiate rules and the scorecard, click here.

Teams: We suggest teams have at least 3 men and 3 women (maximum 10 players) available to play all weekend, but teams may play with only 2 players of 1 gender.

Individual Eligibility: Players must be enrolled for a minimum of ½ full-time for undergraduate students and 6 credit hours for graduate students. Players may not be a current varsity team member. There is a limit of 1 former varsity player per team. Click here for more info.

Rules: USTA rules will be followed throughout the tournament where applicable. Any variations will be discussed at the Captain’s Meeting.

We will have 2 separate draws at this event. “A” teams from schools whose varsity teams compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) must enter the “Alley” draw. This draw will have 4 automatic bids to the 2016 USTA Tennis on Campus National Championship on the line. The “Rally” draw is open to all other teams. This draw will have 1 bid to the 2016 USTA Tennis on Campus National Championship on the line. “A” teams from schools that are not in the ACC or SEC and all “B” and “C” teams may choose which draw to enter. Waiver and Indemnity Agreement: In consideration of my participation in these tennis activities, by signing below, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, successors, and assigns, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have, whether known or unknown, against the Southern Tennis Association, Inc. (United States Tennis Association (USTA) Southern), the host facility, and the sponsors, as well as all of their employees, agents, affiliates and other representatives for any and all injuries or damages suffered by me arising out of, relating to, or in connection with my participation in the Event.

Medical Release: I hereby consent to any emergency first aid and/or other medical treatment which at the time of injury or illness are deemed reasonably advisable by emergency medical technicians, physicians or other medical personnel. I further understand that I will be responsible for payment of any such medical procedures, should costs be incurred.

Consent to Publication. I hereby give USTA Southern and its agents, employees, affiliates and representatives the irrevocable right to use my name, picture, photograph, or other likeness in all forms and media, and in all manners. This includes but is not limited to print media and the internet. I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished version(s), including any written copy that may accompany it.
