This meeting was called in accordance with the provisions of the “Open Public Meetings Law,” C.231, PL. 1975, and notices were forwarded to The Coast Star, Asbury Park Press, to Board Members and were posted as required.

12/07-01Recommendapproval of acceptance of bids and award of contract to BrianPatterson Mechanical Contracting, Inc., 5 Cindy Lane, Ocean Township, NJ, in the totalcontract amount of $ 128,400.00 - (Base Bid: $126,200.00 plus Alternate: $2,200.00) for Toilet Renovations at Manasquan High School.

Recommendation to Enter into Executive Session

WHEREAS, Chapter 131, P.L. 1975, also known as the Open Public Meetings Act, authorizes a public body to meet in executive or private session under certain limited circumstances, and

WHEREAS, said law requires the Board to adopt a resolution at a public meeting before it can meet in such an executive or private session,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MANASQUAN BOARD OF EDUCATION:

  1. that it does hereby determine that it is necessary to meet in executive session on December 7, 2010 to discuss matters involving*: (Agenda to extent known)

  3. Legal
  4. Individual Privacy
  5. Security
  6. Investments/Property Acquisition
  7. Contract Litigation or Negotiations
  1. that the matters discussed will be made public if and when confidentiality is no longer required and action pursuant to said discussion will take place at a public meeting.

*per list of exceptions set forth in N.J.S.A. 10:4-12.

  1. NEGOTIATIONS – Any matter relating to collective bargaining agreement or the process of negotiation.
  2. PERSONNEL – Any matter relating to the employment, termination, evaluation or discipline of any present or prospective officer or employee, unless all officers or employees whose rights may be adversely affected have requested in writing that the matters be discussed in a public meeting.
  3. LEGAL – Any matter required by Federal/or State Law/or Court Rule to be confidential and not subject to public meetings, as well as any matter falling within attorney-client privileges.
  4. INDIVIDUAL PRIVACY – Any information which, if disclosed, would constitute an unwarranted invasion of individual privacy, including any record or material relating to an individual student, unless the student (or his guardian) requests public disclosure.
  5. SECURITY – Any measures designed for the protection of persons and property when matters falling within the attorney-client privilege and in which confidentiality is required, including possible violations of law.
  6. INVESTMENTS/PROPERTY ACQUISITION – Any matter relating to the acquisition of real property or the investment of public funds where disclosure could adversely affect the public interest.
  7. CONTRACT LITIGATION OR NEGOTIATIONS – Other than personnel terms or conditions.
