4.  ANCHOR CLUB: The bingo "bring" items were due Monday! If you forgot, please bring them by Wednesday. Those of you who signed up to volunteer, don't forget that we play Bingo Wednesday night @ 6:00.

5.  Seniors: Order your graduation DVD today for only $35. DVD will include the senior photo slide show the commencement ceremony and more. Come by E-204 (Ms. Holly) to pick up a form.

6.  Attaché Auditions for 2013-2014 are Tuesday for Singer/Dancers and next Wednesday for Pit and Crew members. Audition forms and information may be picked up from Mr. Fehr."

7.  On Saturday, May 11, MS Sports Medicine will be giving free physicals to all MS high schoolathletes. The student should be at Clinton High School NO LATER THAN 7:00 a.m. to board the bus, which will leave promptly at 7:15 a.m. Please see your coach for a physical form, which must be completed and signed by a parent before being returned to the coach. Please remember that physicals are only good for one year from the date of the previous one. You must have a current physical on file BEFORE you try out for a sport or participate, including during the summer.

8.  If you ordered a Letter Jacket, they are in the Athletic Office. Some students must pay the outstanding balance before they get their jacket. If you are unsure if you owe or how much, please check with Mrs. Smithhart. Once you have paid in full, you can get the jacket. For those of you without a balance, you may pick up your jacket today during homeroom.

9.  Our choir has been invited to perform in Carnegie Hall next January. We need to have a parent interest meeting before school is out. If you are interested in trying out for choir next year, and being a part of this great honor, see Mrs. Aven 1st-5th period to audition, and get information about the trip.

10.  Attention Girls: Try-outs for the 2013-2014 Lady Arrow Basketball Team will be held Wednesday, May 8th, and Thursday, May 9th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the CHS gym. You must have a signed parent consent form in order to tryout and a current physical on file before tryouts. You may pick up consent forms from the front office, and sign up in room W114. If you have any questions, see Coach Lofton-Burton.

11.  NHS students: 32 students are needed to sign up for Concession work on May 4 - 5 at Traceway Soccer fields. Come by to sign up for this or other projects in W207.

12.  Calling all CERTIFIED lifeguards! If you are a certified lifeguard and are interesting in lifeguarding at a camp for pediatric cancer patients this summer,please see Mrs. Berry for more information. We'll need lifeguards June 2-June 5.

13.  ANCHOR CLUB: There are several service projects to sign up for in Mrs. Berry's room. Please do not interrupt a class to sign up! Don't forget that you must have THREE service credits!

14.  6th LUNCH-If you do not have a lunch from home or a tray from the cafeteria, you can not sit at a table.

15.  CPSD is collecting pre-orders for a Clinton Arrows specialty car tag. The beautiful tag design was created by Computer Graphics Technology teacher Tempress Holly, and features our distinctive red Arrow logo. Tags are $31, and your current tag DOES NOT have to be expired to pre-order one of the Clinton Arrows tags. Tag design, order forms and FAQs are posted on www.clintonpublicschools.com.

16.  NHS students: There are many service opportunities listed in W207. Come by Mrs. Olinger's room to see what is available and sign up.

17.  Diamond Girls are selling black "Clinton Arrow" sunglass straps for $5. Please see Mrs. Wood-Berry if you're interested!

SENIORS ONLY - Senior Luau Tickets will go on sell April 22, 24, 26, 29 and May 1 and 3. The tickets will be $50. You will receive a letter with the details about the LUAU with your ticket. The SENIOR LUAU is May 22, 2013, Reservoir Point from 8:00 - Midnight.

GUIDANCE OFFICE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Any student that needs a letter of recommendation from their counselor must complete a Counselor Recommendation Packet prior to requesting a recommendation letter. The packet must be fully completed in order for a recommendation letter to be written. Students must allow 5 working days for completion. Please see Mrs. Morgan for a Counselor Recommendation Packet.

SCHOLARSHIPS

CALLING ALL VIPs – If you were selected as VIPthis school year, you are invited to a PIZZA PARTY sponsored by BankPlus. The date is WEDNESDAY, MAY 15th. During your lunch period, please BRING YOUR ID and come to the GYM CONCESSION AREA.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is proud to offer a scholarship to a hardworking and enthusiastic student seeking to further his or her education. Application packets are available in the counselor’s office. An essay and 3 letters of recommendation are required. Deadline is May 21, 2013.

The Vicksburg Post of the Society of American Military Engineers will award a minimum of four $1000.00 scholarships. The scholarship is limited to seniors who will be enrolled in college under a science/engineering academic major during the first semester of their freshman year. Deadline is May 10, 2013. Applications are in the Counselor’s Office.

The spring semester is here and it is time for graduating seniors to apply for student financial aid.

The Mississippi Municipal League (MML) is proud to announce their annual scholarship program. A $2000 scholarship is open to seniors who plan to attend an accredited college in Mississippi. A second $2000 scholarship is restricted to the children or grandchildren of Mississippi Municipal officials and city employees. A third $2000 scholarship is restricted to children or grandchildren of employees or elected officials of Mississippi municipalities that are members of the MMSC Liability Plan or the Workers Compensation Group. Applications are in the Counselor’s office and an essay is required. Deadline is Friday, May 17th.

LEADERSHIP AND SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITIES

The Lott Leadership Institute at the University of Mississippi is please to announce that the annual Lott Leadership Institute for High School Students is now taking nominations for the two 2013 sessions. Participants will travel to Washington, DC to participate in discussions with state and national leaders. The cost to the student will be a $100.00 registration fee, $500.00 program fee, cost of textbooks, weekend meals, snacks and spending money.
