Current Need

We need a multi-faceted compliance and ethics professional with a background in healthcare compliance, with a subject matter expertise in fraud & abuse and open payments compliance. The ideal candidate will also have experience in several core compliance areas such as risk assessment and mitigation planning and compliance auditing & monitoring.

Position Description

The person in this position will support the VP, Global Compliance and Ethics and report to the Senior Director, Global Compliance and Ethics, who oversees McKesson’s fraud & abuse, anti-corruption, export controls, and investigations programs. Specific duties will include: designing and supporting the implementation of key fraud & abuse compliance program initiatives, conducting compliance risk assessments, and compliance auditing & monitoring.

This person will work collaboratively with members of the Global Compliance and Ethics team and will successfully build, maintain, and strategically influence relationships across all areas of the company (with a particular focus on other corporate functions such as the Law Department, HR, IT, corporate security, information security, and with Business Unit compliance officers).

This person must be a self-starter who enjoys working on a breadth of projects. Superior project management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work is essential. This position requires superior written and verbal communication skills as the individual must be able to develop, summarize and deliver complex ideas in a way that is understood and appreciated by multiple audiences. Finally, this person must appreciate the legal context of their work and display appropriate sensitivity to the confidential nature of the work. It is essential that this person be of unquestionable integrity.

Minimum Requirements

Five years working with a company in the healthcare industry and subject matter expertise in fraud& abuse compliance.

Critical Skills

  • Comprehensive experience building and maintaining an effective anti-kickback and/or open payments compliance program; and/or
  • Demonstrated compliance auditing and monitoring skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and people skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; excellent judgment.
  • Excellent project management skills with attention to detail, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop work plans to meet project timelines and milestones.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other web based applications.
  • Of highest integrity.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience working in a large, matrixed institutional setting
  • Working in the healthcare industry preferred

Education

Undergraduate degree required, internal audit backgrounda plus.
