Making Microscope Drawings

1. Use a compass or a trace a circular object to make a circle to represent the field of view.

2. Title the sketch outside the field of view. Under what magnification did you view the specimen? Include the total magnification with the title.

3. After focusing, using a pencil, draw exactly what you see in the field of view. Do not draw a single cell or what you think you should see. Draw everything you see.

4. Label any visible structures. Make a straight line from the structure to outside the field of view. Then write in the name of the structure.

Cell Membrane

5. Color the drawing to match what you saw under the field of view.
