PRODUCT: Body Harness
MAKE & MODEL: TOYOTA 70 SERIES LANDCRUISER
(JANUARY 2000 – Onwards)
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE ENSURE THAT INSTRUCTIONS ARE UNDERSTOOD PRIOR TO FITMENT
- In the engine bay, locate the vehicle battery (1).
- Route the power input harness (2) from the battery towards the RHS of the engine bay.
For P/No: 04997 & 04999 only.
- Following the diagram on the right, house the two power & ground input harness female terminals (4) into the mating connector (3).
- Connect the power input harness connector (3) to the body harness mating connector.
- Seal the two connectors with electrical tape.
For P/No: 04998 only.
- Following the diagram on the right, house the three power & ground input harness female terminals (4) into the mating connector (5).
- Connect the power input harness connector (5) to the body harness mating connector.
- Seal the two connectors with electrical tape.
For P/No: 04998 & 04999 only
- Route the four electric brake controller wires (1)towards the RHS firewall grommet (2).
- Route the Body Harness tail / trailer connectors (3) down and towards the vehicle undercarriage.
For P/No: 04998 & 04999 only
- Locate the RHS firewall grommet (1).
- Cut the tip off one of the firewall grommet nipples (2).
- Route the Body Harness four electric brake controller wires (3) through the grommet hole and into the vehicle cabin.
- Seal the grommet using electrical .grease or silicone.
For P/No: 04998 & 04999 only
- Inside the vehicle cabin, route the Body Harness (1) behind the dash and into the driver’s side foot well area.
- Locate the four electric brake controller wires (2).
- Locate the electric brake controller (3).
- Mount the electric brake controller mounting bracket.
For P/No: 04998 & 04999 only.
- Following the diagram on the right, house the body harness terminals (1) to the corresponding slot on the connector (2).
- Insert the secondary lock (3) into the connector (2).
- Connect the body harness connector (2) to the electric brake controller.
For P/No: 04997 only.
- Route the Body Harness (1) down and towards the vehicle undercarriage.
- From the vehicle undercarriage, locate the body harness (1).
- Route the body harness along theRHS chassis rail and towards the rear of the vehicle.
- Continue routing the body harness along the top of the RHS chassis rail and towards the rear of the vehicle.
- Following the path of the hydraulic lines, route the Body Harness (1) along the RHS chassis rail and towards the rear of the vehicle.
- Keeping clear of the rear suspension components, continue routing the Body Harness (1) along the RHS chassis rail and towards the rear of the vehicle.
- Route the body harness (1) along the rear of the vehicle and towards the trailer and tail harness connectors.
For P/No: 04998 and 04999 only.
- Locate the trailer and tail harness connectors.
- Disconnect the trailer harness 8-way female connector (1) and the tail harness 8-way male connector (2).
- Patch in the body harness mating 8-way connectors in between.
- Insulate all the connectors using electrical tape.
For P/No: 04997 and 04998 only.
- Connect the body harness 2-way female connector (1) into the 12-pin tail harness mating connector (2).
- Insulate all the connectors using electrical tape.
For P/No: 04998.
- Connect the body harness (1) orange & orange/white wires (2) to the positive terminal on the vehicle battery (3).
- Connect the body harness (1) white wire (4) to the negative terminal on the vehicle battery (3).
- Secure the body harness with cable ties (not supplied).
For P/No: 04997& 04999 only.
- Connect the body harness (1) orange wire (2) to the positive terminal on the vehicle battery (3).
- Connect the body harness (1) white wire (4) to the negative terminal on the vehicle battery (3).
- Secure the body harness with cable ties (not supplied).
- Test the body harness using a light board or multimeter.
- Secure all harnesses using cable ties (not supplied).
- Re-fit all removed parts and secure all fasteners, ensuring there are no squeaks or rattles.
- Place the instructions in the glove box after fitment.
