Job Title:Marketing Officer (Commercial)

Line Managed by: Marketing Manager

JOB PURPOSE

To provide marketing support for the College’s commercial services and ensure that proactive marketing plans are delivered effectively and efficiently, in order tohelp meet the commercial targets.

MAJOR TASKS / JOB ACTIVITIES

  • To promote the college’s commercial services and facilities to target markets
  • Build awareness of the college’s sub brands with target audiences
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to support the following commercial services and facilities:Business School, International Centre, Corporate Development Trust, Creative Exchange, Restaurants, Salons, Gyms, Spas, Nursery and Cinema
  • Work alongside the Digital Marketing Officer to maximise the online presence of the commercial areas through the College’s website and other external digital activity
  • Work with the commercial teams to plan and deliver external events
  • Brief the internal design team or external agencies on requirements for marketing material
  • Brief the appointed media agency on media requirements to support the marketing plans
  • Copywriting for marketing material
  • Develop and maintain customer databases and plan effective CRM activities
  • Manage the overall development and production of marketing materials for the commercial area
  • Evaluate marketing activity and measure ROI to improve effectiveness of marketing activities
  • Invoice processing and budget tracking

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of delivering marketing plans to achieve commercial revenue targets
  • Ability to develop and deliver multiple marketing plans simultaneously
  • Ability to write creative, concise and engaging copy for various audiences
  • Event management experience
  • A good understanding of the digital media landscape and how it can be effectively used to market to target audiences
  • Experience of using marketing evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of campaigns
  • Previous experience of budget tracking

Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Marketing Degree or CIM Diploma
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute required tasks
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude and approach
