Mission Statement
The Region Sales Engineer actively develops business in a geographical region by managing and developing relationships with key customer account(s) to obtain customer satisfaction and gain a profitable growth for ABB. The jobholder drives the design and implementation of the account plan (segmentation, relationship strategy, customer knowledge) with the relevant Segment Sales Manager and BU’s and coordinates and monitors their sales activities. He/she has the responsibility to reach established sales targets through actively meeting and working with key customers in order to build sustainable customer relationships and to promote ABB’s offering
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Working with Segment Sales Managers and HBU’s to develop account management structure for Southern Oman. Ensure plan for each key customer account is developed under the leadership of lead LBUs2. Supporting BU’s in organising and facilitating customer events to promote the portfolio
3. Targeting new opportunities from emerging trends, initiatives going across the region (windfarms, Duqm port, Dugm Refinery, etc)
4. Initiate and support growth initiatives and lead cross-BU initiatives
5. Initiate and support actions for growth from Heat Maps / Dimensions

Challenges
Ø Effectiveness in a multiple/cross BU environment
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Ø Relevant education (e.g. Bachelor degree) in business related field
Ø Minimum of 2-5 years experience in a sales position
Ø Excellent skills in Customer relations and sales drive / behaviors
Ø Good knowledge of ABB products/systems
Ø General knowledge of the customers products, applications and processes
Ø Actively demonstrates one face to the customer approach, teamwork
Ø High standards of HSE and Integrity
