Project Manager
This project role will report to the Project Board chaired by the Landmark Trust Director, and will be based between our offices at Shottesbrooke, Maidenhead, Berkshire and Wormington, Evesham, Worcestershire. There will be an expectation to travel between these two locations regularly. Working hours will be 9.00 am – 5.00 pm with flexibility as the role requires.
The successful candidate will be an experienced project manager with prior experience in the full life cycle of managing a complex relocation project and will be capable of project managing every aspect of this relocation. They will be absolutely critical in delivering our strategic objective in moving a complex, busy, unusual stores and furnishings department into one location, with minimum disruption to the rest of the charity.
Main aspects of the role will include the following:
- Prepare the generic space plan for the building.
- Oversee the logistical planning of the relocation of furnishings and stores including the selection and securing of the space.
- Oversee the fit out of the warehouse space.
- Comply and advise on environmental and Health and Safety codes for building and any mechanical equipment.
- Oversee all financial elements of the relocation including any fit out, running and operations costs.
- Work closely with Historic Estates, Operations and Furnishings in relation to fit-out and contractor tenders, as well as IT and other service providers for new office / warehouse space and inventory system.
- Move and relocate the current inventory to a new location in an ordered and consistent way.
- Implement an inventory system and process that best supports our business needs.
- Effective internal communications to ensure all relevant stakeholder groups are kept informed.
- Identify and manage any projects risks associated to the relocation.

- An extremely well organised, dedicated person who quickly understands and fits into the culture and values of Landmark Trust.
- Diplomatic and calm.
- Past experience of relocation and change management is absolutely essential.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Contract Duration
This is a fixed term, full-time position for 6 to 9 months.
Location
This position is based between our main offices in Shottesbrooke near Maidenhead and the Furnishing Department at Wormington, Evesham, Worcestershire.
Salary
£35,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on skills and experience, paid monthly in arrears.
Working Hours
35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Some flexibility with hours may be required.
Holidays
The holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum plus statutory holidays.
Sick Pay
During the first three months of employment or the probationary period (whichever is the longer) you will only be paid your Statutory Sick Pay entitlement. After this period you will receive full basic pay during any sickness absence up to 20 days pro rata in any 12 month period. The Statutory Sick Pay will be included in this sick pay. Where absence exceeds seven consecutive calendar days and in certain other circumstances, a doctor’s certificate will be required.
Pension Scheme
Provided you meet the criteria, you will be auto-enrolled into Landmark’s pension scheme.
Medical Health
Private health insurance, currently with BUPA, can be provided when you have been with Landmark for one year.
Notice
The appointment is subject to a satisfactory completion of an initial three month probationary period, though this may be extended if more time is needed to assess suitability for employment. During this period the post will be subject to a week’s notice on either side. A minimum of one month’s notice in writing on either side applies after the end of the probationary period.
Health & Safety
All staff are expected to observe all health and safety at work regulations as set out by Landmark in accordance with statutory requirements.
Contract
The successful applicant will be required to sign Landmark’s Contract of Employment.
